A LOWEDED Christmas gift guide

Dec 11, 2020 | Culture, Life

Everything we’re dreaming of this year for Christmas at LOWEDED, from affordable to investment pieces. Whether you’re stuck for wish list inspiration or struggling for gifting ideas we’ve got you covered!

La Manso Ring

Up first on our list is a La Manso ring, spotted all over Instagram on our favourite influencers, if you’re looking for an accessory to spice up your looks this year, now’s the time to splurge on a statement piece from the Spanish brand, the only problem is choosing a colour!

‘La Manso’ on Instagram. Rings retail at €48 – €69.

Lexxola Sunglasses

Next up are some Lexxola sunglasses, these were a big trend spotted over the summer, but Lexxola’s tinted lens sunglasses are not exclusive to a season and are ready to become our new favourite accessory to add a vintage 70’s vibe to all your fits, after all it doesn’t have to be winter if your looking through yellow tinted glasses!

Lexxola sunglasses start at  £190.

Telfar Bag

Obviously the list  wouldn’t be complete without an iconic Telfar bag. Whilst we know these are difficult to get your hands on, keep an eye out for drop dates and feel good about splurging on your new bag knowing you’re supporting a black owned and sustainable brand.

‘Telfar’ on Instagram. Bags start at $150

Gucci necktie

I know we’re starting with some pricier pieces but it’s definitely an investment piece on the affordable side. Following on from the 70’s vibe of Lexxola glasses, a Gucci necktie is the perfect piece to fulfil the vibe, which could be tied around your handbag or a neck accessory for either a preppy city girl look or even to accessorise a more simple chill look.

Gucci Silk Scarves start at £140.

Good quality face mask

It wouldn’t be a 2020 wish list without a covid related gift. If we have to live through a pandemic we will at least do it fashionably and sustainably of course! You can invest in a range of good quality reusable masks, from satin ones which are meant to be best for your skin to some branded ones, or maybe support a small brand this Christmas. Shop Mei and Pie Face will definitely also have some cute pieces! Another mask related gift could be a cute sunglasses chain to hang your mask from when it’s not required!

This Eugenia Kim satin face covering is £20.

Magazine subscription

This is such a good idea whether it’s asking for it as a gift or a present for someone else, you can get magazine subscriptions for most magazines and it’s honestly the best gift as it continues throughout the year and nothing is as good as being able to flock through a magazine and get some inspo as well as keeping print alive! Last year I asked for Dazed and Confused and i-D subscriptions but maybe if you have a favourite magazine that’s smaller it would be a good consistent support.

Wildflower phone case

These phone cases are almost as cool as the Carlson sister duo who run Wildflower Cases. These are honestly the best way to elevate your mirror selfies and you can count on Wildflower to have a design for every aesthetic. With cute y2k denim or patterns or more minimal designs, the hardest part of this gift is having to choose from all their designs.

Wildflower cases start at around $37.

Lisa Says Gah wine bag

All the Lisa says Gah prints are so funky and of course a wine tote bag is the accessory we never knew we needed. To complete your picnic looks or add to your city girl fits for when visiting friends, this will hopefully become a necessity over the festive period and 2021 when you can’t fit a bottle in your mini bag.

Lisa Says Gah! Wine tote bags start from £12 up to £20.

Byredo Lip balm

We discussed Byredo’s new beauty line in a previous article so I had to mention it. Keep your lips hydrated over Christmas and splurge on the coolest lip balm. It’s a vegan, 99.8% natural formula and claims that ‘one coat is enough for hours of comfort’, so what’s not to love?

This Byredo lip balm retails at £35.

Huh.store candle sets

These twisty candles are having a moment and would be such a cute gift for someone to stage around their home or bedroom which come in packets of six in the most beautiful colours. However even if you don’t feel like spending the money, it could be such a cute idea to get creative and try and make your own which people have been trying all over TikTok for a sweet and personal gift.

Huh. store candles are £25 for six.

Ganni knit hat

These Ganni beanies are the epitome of chic Scandinavian girl style. They come in a range of colours from neutral to bright bold colours and will keep you looking cool whilst staying warm over the festive season!

Ganni beanies retail at £75.

Bandana from Rose of the Wild bunch

These bandanas come in some of the coolest prints and colour schemes and is the perfect gift as it’s so versatile. Rose of the wild bunch are also currently selling two exclusive designs in collaboration with ‘Eternity’, a charity bringing awareness to mental health, suicide and addiction, if you purchase one of these bandanas all proceeds go to charity, even more of a perfect gift!

Rose of the wild bunch bandanas range from £38 to £40.

Diptyque candle

I know we’ve already covered candles but obviously we had to add a Diptyque candle. They’ve become a room decor go to if you’re willing to splurge. And the cutest pots and packaging means you could use them for storage afterwards.

Diptyque classic candles range from £47 to £59.

Crystals

This is the perfect gift for those of you who are looking to get spiritual or trying to manifest your way through 2020. I’ve started to build a collection of small crystals over the last few years and I think it would be such a memorable and personal gift for someone to keep on their bedside table or in a pouch in your everyday bag. Whether you want to research which crystal you’re drawn to or describes the energy you’re needing the most or if you look into which crystal would best suit a friend I think this could be a really cool gift.

This crystal to the left is Peridot.

Heavn, Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs has curated the new line ‘Heavn’ and I think we can admit that these pieces are to die for. From the doodled sweater vests to the mesh tops and combined bear logoed hoodies, there is so much choice! Whilst it’s still Marc Jacobs, it’s definitely on the affordable side so is a good one to add to your wish list. I’m also obsessed with the vibe of the website, where all the pieces are shot and styled in a room that appears to depict your overly stereotypical teenage bedroom.

Heavn pieces start from £30 for a tote bag and increase for clothing items.

Nail voucher

Another way to support small businesses in 2020 would be to support your local nail tech or salon and either ask for a voucher for a manicure or gift someone the experience. Check with your local salon if they offer this because this will leave you feeling pampered and will be even more enjoyable when it’s been paid for! There’s so much cool nail inspo out there at the moment, checkout our insta post

Paloma Wool

Of course I had to add Paloma Wool to the list! These pieces are all amazing, it’s tough to decide which bold print or gradient patterned piece you’ll add to your list this year. Paloma Wool has grown so much this year and it’s no secret why, everyone is after a piece, many being sold out, whether it’s one of the notorious knit jumpers or the slightly abstract checkerboard piece on the left I am wishing for a piece to bring me into 2021 stylish as ever.

This no 682 / El Valle knit top retails at 119,00 €.

Clay making set

Getting creative is such a perfect gift to anyone. When it comes to sculpting and working with clay it’s an excuse for either you or a friend to slow down and take some time to create something you can use, which can often be quite relaxing and calming. Sculpd offers sets with everything you need to get creative and possibly make a cute plant pot or vase which would be a good gift to a friend or even if you got a few sets and made something together.

Sculpd kits are £39 and come with paints, tools, varnish and clay.

Claw hair clips

Obviously this has to be one of the most popular hair accessories of 2020, it had such a major comeback for the low-key y2k style. It would be such a good small gift to get a few in some cute colours or styles.

Emi Jay inc has some really cute claw clips in glitter classic styles with the cutest colours or even some butterfly shaped ones!

The Emi Jay Inc hair clips range from $20 to $34.

Goodwill gift card

Another good gift card idea would be if your local goodwill or charity shop offers vouchers. Get all your fits ready for 2021 by being sustainable and getting some cool vintage looks. This would be the perfect gift for a friend who loves thrifting and then you can make it a day out!

Whether you’re supporting some small brands such as the one’s LOWEDED has had the pleasure to interview, or you have an idea about where you are going to put some money into an iconic investment piece this season.

We will be releasing a small business gift guide as well so stay tuned for that!
